Vice President (Residence Affairs) - Matthew Ierino

The Vice President of Residential Affairs (VPRA) is the direct supervisor of all House Presidents and is responsible for day-to-day internal operations of the Society. The VPRA is responsible for reviewing and approving events planned by the House President of each residence building. House Presidents submit to the VPRA Pre-Event Planning Forms (PEPFs) and Post-Activity Forms (PAFs) which must be approved.

The VPRA, along with the VPJA and President, is an elected position with a term length of one year.

My name is Matthew Ierino and I am the Vice President (Residence Affairs) for 2018/2019 school year. I am currently completing my BAH in History, so don't hesitate to test me on my history knowledge! Involvement in residences has been an important component of my time Queen’s. I am beyond thrilled to be involved in residence this year! I have served as a House President (Gord-Brock) and have served as a Residence Facilitator in prior years. Last year, I lived off campus, serving as the AMS Chief Electoral Officer while also working with StudioQ. I am from Sudbury, ON and on my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors, travelling, learning about the latest tech and the learning about the current state of politics. This year, my hope is to bring my experience within and outside residences and apply it to improving the quality of service delivered by ResSoc. I hope to improve ResSoc’s ability to impact the lives of all residents and shape House Presidents into impactful and enthusiastic leaders within their respective communities. Feel free to contact me via email or my office hours, I'd love to chat!!
