Our first-year executive interns shadow their respective executive members in a unique professional development opportunity, where they can learn about what it takes to keep a student government running and practice professional skills such as interviewing, policy writing and reviewing, event planning, and collaboration. Executive interns attend ResSoc General Assembly and internal committee meetings in addition to project work they do with their respective executive member. They also serve as one of the ways ResSoc can directly engage with the greater first-year student body, helping us promote ResSoc as a resource and potential future employer and spreading the word about events and initiatives. Executive interns receive an honourarium at the end of the academic year for their work. This year, we employ four executive interns:

Intern to the President: Trisha Kotakonda (she/her)

Intern to the Chief Financial Officer: Ian Tsang (he/him)

Intern to the Human Resources Officer: Aliza Tiwana (she/her)

Intern to the Programs & Marketing Officer: Leah Potashnyk (she/her)
